Up to two $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the dependent of a current APSTA member. Candidates for the Dependent Scholarship must be graduating from high school in June and planning to enter college as a full-time student in the fall. In addition, candidates must have maintained a high school average of 85% or higher for the first six semesters of high school.
Financial need shall not be a consideration in awarding this scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded purely on a lottery basis. Students are eligible regardless of the high school they attend. APSTA Dependent Scholarship candidates should complete the Google application form and instruct their high school guidance office to email a high school transcript to:

A $1,000 New Educator Scholarship will be awarded to students graduating from the City School District of Albany in June who will commence study in the field of education at an accredited two or four-year institution in the fall. Candidates for the New Educator I Scholarship must have attended Albany High School or one of its satellite programs for 11th and 12th grade.
Criteria for awarding the New Educator Scholarship will include:
academic achievement,
statement of intent to enter the teaching profession,
and teacher recommendations.
Application is a Google Form and instructions linked here and also will be available on the Scholarship Bulletin Google classroom.
The maximum any student can be awarded in the APSTA Scholarship Program will be $1,000.
